 Verified The most delightful true story, I didn't want to finish reading it.
This is the most remarkable account of a truly remarkable family and their journey. Not sure about crossing the Atlantic but it has made me want to sail, swim, eat fish and see all the places that I have just visited with them in the book. Well done Carl, Debs, Blake, Craig.

Loved this book. The writing was so good that even though I knew he made it, at times I was unsure if they'd make it! Even, me being a non sailer, all the sailing terms didn't stop it being a page turner. I'd recommend it

 Verified An easy sailing read
Enjoyed the read and enjoyed see the family come together as their skill and confidence grew .I was curious about Debbie's role- author kept expressing sympathy for her tireless work in the galley. Why was she the only person doing the cooking and laundry? Sounds like she was an expert at maneuvering Kra, seems she might have been useful doing a proper watch rather than being relegated to galley slave .

If you dream about a cruising sailboat, but will never be able to actually own one or doing it, this is the next best thing. Well written and easy to read. It give you good insight into the lifestyle and it's rewards and challenges.Highly recommended.

As a sailor myself, i always find other peoples accounts of their adventures very enjoyable. This book was very easy to read, well written and fun. Following this families ups and downs and handling it so well was truly inspiring. I've always wanted to do a long cruise but i Only got as far as ocean racing. This family lived their dream.
